Biarritz Le Phare golf course is the second oldest course on the continent (after Pau Billere) and is situated in a spectacular position on the coast.
Due to the course being on the Atlantic coast, the climate is particularly mild during winter and hot during summer. Biarritz Le Phare offers excellent playing conditions, superb greens and a very playable course, which is open all year round.
Each year many of the big names in the international professional golf circuit (some of whom, like José-Maria Olazabal in 1983, were once players in the Biarritz Cup as amateurs), return regularly to play at le Phare.
